We have not been a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC since 1867.

We have no gold nor silver backing our stock market nor dollar we are worse off than 1931 and that was the real depression when everything was destroyed which is just like now 2010. 250 on the Dow in 1929 is 33% higher than todays stockmarket. Since we are a Nazi controlled economy staying in power by keeping a nuclear gun aimed at the world everything is fine until Russia and China deceide to vaporize us.

Slaves were legal in less than half of the original states, it was left over from colonial times. Even a cursory glance at the founding of the United States will show you that it was a contentious issue then, and remained so until the civil war when the FREE STATES majority finally won out and the slave states were forced to emancipate. Your comments on women being property are so ridiculous its hard to comment on, in western society women have never been property, and in th US in particular women have always enjoyed a privileged status until recently, when at the end of WWII with Playboy magazine women were converted into sex slaves whose primary mission is to help Madison Avenue get men to spend money by exciting them with visions of scantily clad sluts who will do your bidding if only you drive the right car or wear the right cologne.

As for exterminating the natives, there were some reprehensible acts committed by our government on the native for sure. However the vast majority of untimely native deaths, were caused from small pox and VD, which you can hardly blame the government for. At the time of the colonization of North America there was maybe a couple of million natives. Of that number an astonishing 50 to 80 percent died of disease. At the time of Lewis and Clark they found the vast majority of the continent wide open.

So the few natives who survived the introduction of European disease were mistreated, but the clash of cultures made that inevitable anyway. By western standards the Natives of North America were less than civilized. George Washington even reported a story about how Tenacharison, hatched open the skull of a French General during surrender talks and ate his warm brain to the astonishment of Washington and the other British officers. So don’t kid yourself about the NOBLE savage for the most part those stories are Hollywood bull crap.

Finally on point, there is a vast difference between an individual taking on debt in his own name and a Government taking on debt in all our names. Especially when there is absolutely NO controls on government spending. I would think an America hater such as yourself would NOT want the evil US Government spending any more of your earnings than they could do out in the open.

It would seem to me that a person of your point of view would be more in favor of a balanced budget amendment than myself.

Yes it is not what they envisioned as we would still have slavery, women would be little more than property blacks would being lynched and we would we would still be exterminating the natives. Yes you are right — we are not what they envisioned. Those who wrote the bill of rights only saw fit that it should apply to those who were like them when they converted the priniple into law.

Did you buy a house with cash? Did you pay cash for your car? If not, then you almost everyone else in the “middle class” and are not living within your means — and the federal government is just like you, in debt.
